The Aggies start the second part of the 2018-2019 season on the road with the first stop in El Paso to face the Miners. The first game on Monday, January 7, had the Aggies falling behind early enroute to an eventual loss. Jack Greer had the only goal for the Ags with the final score being 1-4.
Tuesday, the Aggies hoped to recover and provide some pay-back to the Miners. The Ags score first on a goal by Adam Pipe, but then penalty trouble for the Ags allow the Miners to cash in making the score 1-1 after the first period.
The Miners would again add to their scoring on the power play and some quick puck work to make the score 1-4 before Hunter Gurly scores for the Aggies. The second period ends with a score of 2-4 Miners.
The third period would be filled with penalties on both teams, but neither able to cash in. The Aggies had an apparent goal called off by the officials, so the game would end with a final score of 2-4.
The Aggies now move on to Colorado to face the Colorado State University Rams on Thursday, University of Northern Colorado Bears on Friday, and close out the road trip on Saturday against Metro State University of Denver Roadrunners.
